Strategic litigation
The MCCHR strategic litigation programme aims to advance human rights changes within wider Malaysian society through the judicial system. We focus on five key areas: freedom of expression and peaceful assembly; access to justice and the right to a fair trial; gender equality and non-discrimination; freedom of thought, conscience, and religion; and the protection of human rights defenders. Through the programme, MCCHR organises training for practitioners and students, produces research reports and practice manuals, and supports public interest cases. Registered users can borrow from over 1,300 titles in the general collection or access law reports and other resources in the legal reference collection on-site. Students and researchers can access e-books, journal articles, and other electronic resources on human rights via the digital archive.
